Aberdeen port offers several ferry crossings, all of which are served by Northlink Ferries. These include almost daily crossings to Kirkwall and one daily crossing to Lerwick.

There are also two sailings every week to Stromness on the Orkney Islands.


Aberdeen to Kirkwall


Northlink Ferries operates this service three times a week between March and November. The duration of the crossing to Kirkwall is 6 hours. Kirkwall's Hatston ferry terminal is located about three miles from the centre of the town. Kirkwall is situated 16 miles from Stromness, seven miles from Finstown and 15 miles from St Margaret's Hope. The port of Kirkwall has long-term car parking facilities, which are situated near the terminal building.

Aberdeen to Lerwick


The duration of the one, daily voyage to Lerwick is 12 hours. The service is operated by Northlink Ferries. The port of Lerwick is located one mile from the centre of Lerwick. This lively town is the capital of the Shetlands.
